Acoustic Reunion has added a new member to the group: lead guitarist Michael George.
Actually, he's not that new - Michael G. has been participating in gigs on a part-time basis for some time now - he's the one with the big 12-string Rickenbacker belting out the lead parts in "Turn, Turn, Turn" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" among others.
Michael G. has been playing the guitar a long time, both 6-string and 12-string versions in acoustic and electric models. He was also a member of Michael Darrouzet's former band English Rain. We are all enjoying Michael's contribution to our authentic '60s and '70s music!

Moving Forward
Acoustic Reunion is continuing to evolve.
Our music repertoire has expanded to over six hours' worth of music. We have added the Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits, and the Rolling Stones to the bands we cover, with highly enthusiastic responses from our audiences! We are also working on adding music by Todd Rundgren and Jackson Browne for use with future performances.
Our recent acquisition of a Roland Juno-G synthesizer keyboard will enable use of supplementary instruments as needed. Michael George has been helping out with solo lead guitar parts on some of the Byrds and Beatles songs, and is a welcome addition to our performances.
In summary, every time you see us, we will be even better sounding than the time before, with continuing emphasis on musical precision, faithful instrumentation arrangements, and tight vocal harmonies that distinguish Acoustic Reunion from all the rest.

Band Happenings Update - by Dave W.
New Music
The addition of Byrds music to the band's repertoire has been a big success! This has inspired us to "push the envelope" even further by working on additional music by the Kinks, the Dave Clark Five, and the Beach Boys. So "stay tuned" for more exciting new tunes!
New Public Venues
The band will be heard on the mezzanine at Central Market in Plano this summer, and will also be performing at Obzeet in far north Dallas in the near future. Be sure to check our News - Upcoming Performances page on the website for details. Meanwhile, private engagements are keeping us plenty busy. "Boomer" birthday parties are becoming a specialty of ours!
We Appreciate Our Fans
Thanks again to all the fans and "regulars" who keep coming back to Fish On Fire whenever we play there - we enjoy playing for you as much as you like hearing us! Know anyone who loves "oldies" music, but hasn't heard it "live" lately? Bring 'em along!

Happenings with the Band - by Dave W.
We've been working hard lately on perfecting a whole new set of music for our next gig at Fish On Fire. We're especially excited about a couple of Byrds tunes featuring a guest guitarist from Michael's old band playing a 12-string Rickenbacker just like Roger McGuinn's! Michael on the 6-string Rickenbacker, Dave J. on the Strat, Diana on the Roland V-drums, and yours truly on the Fender bass, will complete the special electric ensemble required for the classic music of the Byrds we know and love. Personally, I have waited 40 years to play this music! We hope everyone will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy playing it.
